Our leader and founder is Avv. Sabrina Duiella Esq., an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of New York and Italy. She is a member of the New York Bar Association and the Italian Bar Association.
Sabrina is committed to offering the best legal assistance to her clients not only because she is an experienced and dedicated attorney but, more importantly, because she is passionate about her mission: reconnecting people of Italian descent with their origins and heritage, by claiming Italian citizenship for them and their descendants.
Sabrina specializes in dual citizenship cases, with a specific focus on the acquisition of Italian citizenship via court proceedings and she has advised hundreds of clients on how to become Italian citizens. She is knowledgeable of the different routes toward dual citizenship and is able to navigate both the administrative and court procedures to offer her clients the best solution to acquire citizenship, with a very personalized and personable professional approach.
Sabrina graduated from Tor Vergata University of Rome, Italy, in 2012. She won the 1st Prize offered to new graduates by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where she worked for 8 years, in the Rome, Milan, Paris, and Moscow offices. During her time at Freshfields, Sabrina developed a strong expertise in Italian and cross-border litigation and qualified as an Italian attorney in 2015.
Afterward, Sabrina was offered a merit-based scholarship from the New York University – School of Law, to pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in New York City, which she gladly accepted. Thereafter, she received her U.S. law degree from the New York University – School of Law in New York City and was admitted to the New York Bar.
Also, Sabrina was invited to hold seminars at universities and lawyers’ associations on citizenship matters.
Due to her interest both in law and in the history of migrations from Italy, Sabrina decided to make Italian citizenship the main focus of her legal practice and founded Italian Citizenship Law Firm with offices in New York City, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Rome and a team of expert attorneys, genealogists, and other professionals. In particular, Sabrina decided to specialize in Italian citizenship legal assistance because of her passion for the transmission of the Italian cultural heritage across generations and borders. Also, Sabrina’s large Italian-American family in Illinois was an important part of her journey toward focusing on the dual citizenship acquisition process, as she had the opportunity to admire her cousins’ attachment to the Italian culture and traditions in the U.S.
Since founding her law firm, Sabrina and her team have helped those of Italian descent and those married to Italian citizens realize their dream of obtaining Italian citizenship.
